I cannot think of another spiritual inheritor for the VAMP than the AWE Striker, according to the blueprints the main cannon of the AWE Stiker is a 10-round 70mm automatic launcher and its equivalent in the VAMP is a computer synchronized 7.62 mm machine gun.
Well, I am not familiarized with real life military but as far as I can understand the VAMP has a machine gun that can be operated by the driver and in the other hand the AWE Striker is a 10 shots cannon. Assuming I am thinking right, what would be the power for every shot from the AWE Striker? Any input appreciated. |

According to my quick Google search, 70mm cannons are light howitzer artillery. So...powerful, but probably not used up close or in a flat trajectory. That would make the AWE Striker a rapid deployment light artillery piece (anti-personnel and anti-materiel) I guess, whereas the VAMP would be an up-close anti-personnel assault vehicle (not really effective against even light armored vehicles).

As a rule, the stats the blueprints give are complete nonsense. I usually try to figure out what the designers were looking at and go from there. In the case of the AWE Striker, the FAV with TOW Missile mounted..
