Before anybody gets offended, I'm not talking about race; I'm asking about the continent of Africa. I'm not talking about toys either; I'm talking about characters or teams. For example, The Red Shadows & Action Force are mainly seen as a European based, while the Arashikage are Asian based. Comandos Em Acao are seen as South American, while the Joes were seen as A Real "North" American Hero. Major Bludd & the Dreadnoks are often tied to Australia. While Cobra is on its quest for world domination, have they neglected the vast natural resources of the African continent?

I think that it's implied at least that Wild Weasel is from South Africa, but nothing definite.

She wasn't technically part of the Joe team, but I believe Captain Meeda from the G.I. Joe Extreme cartoon is from Tunisia. At least that's what a fan-made file card states, I've never actually caught any episodes she was in. I found the file card in the G.I. Joe Extreme section on bloodforthebaron.com.

Are there any countries in Africa that are part of the United Kingdom? That might give Action Force Jurisdiction & possible Red Shadows targets.

There were stories that took place in Africa including a recent revisit of the arc around Prince Ngoto, coincidentally also being the first issues with Red Shadows and the Black Major.

I had always thought that maybe the 2011 Pursuit of Cobra (Jungle Assault theme) Shadow Tracker was from Africa. He came with a Kpinga throwing knife, a Makraka execution knife, and a Makrigga impaling spear, which the Zande warriors of Africa were famous for. Makes me think that Shadow Tracker may have been Azande in origin.
The 2015 G.I. Joe Convention boxed set included Azinza Solarin, who is the Iron Grenadiers Frogmen Commander now leading the Undertows. She was from Cape Town, South Africa and an Olympic athlete until she was stripped of her titles when performance enhancing chemicals were discovered. When Sebastian Bludd was serving in the French Foreign Legion, heas was stationed in Algeria. He is currently wanted for crimes in Rhodesia and Libya. Tomax & Xamot both served in the Foreign Legion Para (the Parachute Regiment of the Légion étrangère) in Algeria. I’m sure there are many more Africa references, but those are just the first ones off the top of my mind.

If you look to the Action Force characters, then you could include Stalker (the Snake Eyes looking repaint action figure). Possibly the only character of Icelandic origin, he started as a mercenary during the Angola war, and evaded imprisonment after a major battle by making a solo escape through the African desert.
