Aside from hole collecting , I will get my joe fix from the IDW comics , sunbow dic marathons , maybe renegades and the occasional resolute and ROC/Retaliation movie nights . I just hope HT stays with us. My God, I don't think I could handle losing both the club and the online joe community to talk joes with

I'm glad this was a "check all that apply" kind of poll. I will be filling holes in my ME Joe team by buying Joe/MTF figures and customizing them based on ARAH designs.
If this really is the end of the line it won't be so bad for me. There was only about a half dozen figures left I really wanted and maybe a dozen more that would be nice. I wish I knew what the club has coming down the pipes for the next year, but I think I can customize the ones I really want and call it good. Then the money I've been spending on club figures can go towards buying some new display shelves and I can get the majority of my figures out of storage. Getting them all out and setting them up will be like they are all brand new again.

This place will die out, just like all the other Joe sites that died out with the JvC era stuff, they are still around but nowhere near as big or as active, but the next group will come up with new sites ect. I have been part of the online community since I discovered yojoe.com back in 96 or 97. Then savage sound offs ect to today JOeBattlelines was (and is still my fav Joe board) but once the 25th started up we got places like Hisstank. I will say this, those early days and especially the new sculpt era were the best online days it was a bunch of guys who never left, then the 25th brought in all the nostalgia guys and the community got hateful and fragmented. So another "hiatus" will hopefully reset the online community. Not that there is much wrong with it, but it lost its tight knittedness.

I plan to do just what I have been doing my entire life. Buying GI Joes. If they are not at retail ok, then I will be buying them at local hobby shops, yard sales and flea markets. I will continue to build my Vintage collection and I will continue Customizing ME figures to fill the voids in that. Which means some of the funds that would have been allocated for new releases will end up going to that and in turn helping Casters, Marauder inc and others move more of thier items.

I plan on building at least three more massive dios for the figures I have already. If I can find room, I have concepts and materials to complete 4 dios. This will take about 3 or 4 years, so I will keep busy. I also want to build shelving to display my various collections. I am also going to collect DC classics, MOTU from Super 7, select Star Wars 4 inch, and complete the missing items from the Indiana Jones line from 2008. I really want to troop build that German soldier! I hate to say it, but after the end of 2018 I may only buy Joes I find by chance or resort to Ebay if I am customizing a particular character. I only collect ME, and my collection has almost all figures released at retail since 2007, along with about 80% of the Joecon figures. I pretty much have most of what I want that has already been produced. Now I want to start putting my resources into displaying Joes via dios. This talk of reimagining has me skeptical that the Joes offered in retail will be ones I will want. If they are, great, but it feels more like an end to me than a beginning.
Of course, I will still enjoy reading and participating in discussions on the Tank! I really hope this site maintains membership among the amazing people that are on here.

I'll admit, I was out of collecting G.I. Joe when the ARAH line wrapped up in 1994 and didn't come back until Sigma 6. The Modern Era hooked me and I haven't looked back since. This upcoming hiatus will be foreign to me, and it feels a bit hollow.
I'm hoping Hasbro comes back with a reimagined product, with new and updated characters. Including homages to ARAH would be great, but it cannot be beholden to that era. Most importantly, it has to have a story, some sort of innovative play feature and an element of collectibility.

I'm on the fence of whether to start collecting vintage Joes or not.
