You got lucky on the free haul. Let's see what treasures you got.

I agree, I just hope this guy was actually evicted or actually gave the apartments notice of vacation. Sometimes leasing offices makes serious mistakes,I remember one time,I went out on to my little porch area to smoke a cig,to see the head of matinance standing there about to stick his master key into my door, I asked what the hell he was doing,he asked was I moving my stuff out the apt,I replied no,why, he told me that the leasing office had told him that my family had just moved out our apt and that he was to come in to check for damages and start the clean up process. I hope this is not what happened in the OP's situation. I always thought in these situation, the matinance crew was suppose to throw any funiture and remaining items in the trash, not keep it. When ever someone moves out of my apts,I always notice the matinance guy's family members, who also lives in the complex,go into the vacant apt late at night and pick out what ever items they want to keep for themselves. This is obviously not allowed because the matinance guy shouldnt be giving the master key to a reletive who doesnt work for the complex plus why should they even have the master key after the complexes working hours. I know for a fact that all the apts master keys are suppose to be losked away in the office. Also, the fact that they usually do it around mid-night,proves to me that they are stealing.

That's a great find man. I wouldn't feel too bad though as this kind of thing happens every day. I know people that have found all kinds of crazy things while cleaning out abandoned apartments/homes, from envelopes of cash to big screen tv's to guns. It's strange to me what people decide to leave behind when they have to leave in a hurry. At any rate, congrats on the great find.
Man, I could never leave behind stuff like that. Even if it was a hurry up thing. Great find though man. Pure coolness! |

Let me guess. An evil hell-bitch serpent of a woman sold her husband's entire collection to you for $5 or something, right?
