Where Nunchuk, Dojo, and T'Jbang from the military? I thought GIjoe was comprised of the best of the best from various military branches. Nothing from these guys file cards or Marvel comic appearances imply that they are from the military. The comic says that they were a group formed by Storm Shadow. The file cards say that they have family/training relationships with Storm Shadow. So the comic, Storm Shadow decides to form his own Ninja Force and approaches the powers that be with this group of ridiculously dressed American ninjas. I guess SS has incredible pull to get a bunch of guys like that on the team. You can say that SS can vouch for them and their talents, but when you think about it, SS isn't exactly someone the US government can trust. He's a former terrorist.
To go off on a tangent, what kind of name is T'Jbang anyway? I don't think it is Japanese in orgin. |
