I recently bought a small G.I. Joe lot off of Ebay. The package had a weird fragrance smell. This smell kinda reminds me of a lot I bought off Ebay a year or two ago. At first, it smelled like cologne, but then after a day or two it started to smell like smoke. I have a bad feeling about this. I asked the seller if the figures smelled like smoke or not and they replied back and said "no". Besides waiting a couple of days. Any way I can try and get rid of this fragrance to make sure its not a smoky lot? It just kinda has that deep pepper smell of smoke underneath the fragrance. If that is the case, I will just ship this back and get a refund from Ebay.
Thanks

I have gotten a few smokey items. I have had some luck getting the smell out by dropping the items in a bag of baking soda. I have ready fabric softner works, but I don't want to mask the smell, but pull it out instead.
Unless it was an excellent deal, I recommend strongly considering returning it. Are you willing to wait 3 to 6 months, or possibly forever for the smell to be gone? |

Thanks everyone for replying. I will be returning the lot as I don't like wasting time on smelly figures.
