ok i have stop collecting joes for like 2 years now.. mostly because of the economic crisis here in greece.. i was checking hisstank and news about joes every then and now.. the line is official dead?

The line is NEVER officially "dead". We are still getting trickles of product, and recent news suggest things might be picking up over the next couple years for GI Joe.

Yes, the line is officially dead. The fact that Hasbro just recently announced new concepts for movies and cartoons is just a bluff to throw us off.

I know that there are a lot of individuals who collect the modern figures, and I do not intend to type against them. However, as a nostalgia driven vintage collector the line started dying, in my opinion, in 2002 when they started introducing new sculpts. However, there have always been areas for my collection to expand into. I can only imagine the same is true for modern collectors. Regardless of the line's death, whenever that may be, there will always be something new to add to any collection.
