Fix the Skystriker, so the wing articulation and landing gear are separate. Release a POC-style HISS with a Retaliation-style canopy.

New Whale and Terrordromes are a must.
They should always have a wave on the shelf, along with some sort of media, even if it's just an online story or interactive, to sell the characters in that given wave's "snapshot" of adventure. |

Whale, APC and wolverine are too iconic to have never been remade.

I would "improve" production and distribution of "joe stuff" I would improve the varied offerings and product line for the production and distribution of "joe stuff" i would have varied/exclusive ways of purchasing "joe stuff" and lastly, I would have a loyalty/flag points program that allowed for the fans/customers to have actual input on the direction/development of the line.

Considering that theoretically G.I. Joe is a toy line I would improve playability. I just do not see playability as a factor in what I have seen recently. As a kid in the 80's G.I. Joe was the go to for fun. As an adult I have met women who were as obsessed with G.I. Joe as I am, but as a kid in the 80's every boy had a sampling of G.I. Joe toys to play with. G.I. Joe was the toy line without equals. TMNT was a close second. However, I do not know any kids that are playing with modern G.I. Joes, and I have a large family. I know parents who cut their teeth on G.I. Joe in the 80's are buying them for their kids now, but Hasbro can not depend solely on this to drive sales. It just seems to me that the playability of G.I. Joe 30 years ago is driving the sales of G.I. Joe today. This does not sound like a recipe for success to me.
Yes, I would buy a USS Flagg, Defiant, or Terror Drome day one if they were rereleased, but I doubt they would be considered playsets. -Robert |
