I think only the officers were ever given ranks. Most of those guys I made Corporals. Hot Jets should be an officer, and I am pretty sure Leviathan is Q-Force commander. I believe he is a Royal Navy Commander.

the filecards didn't give ranks for the Pallitoy created characters, from what I remember. All there really is to go on is Eagle is 'Squad Leader', Skip is 'Captain', Sky Raider is 'Commander' and Dolphin was a Royal Navy officer. Battle Action Force treated Leviathan as the Q-Force commander, but IIRC, his toy doesn't ID him as such.
bear in mind it's a while since I've read BAF strips, but from what I recall: Skip is a Captain, Eagle is too. Quickfire is a GSG9 captain, Stakeout is a sergeant, Shark, ISTR, is a French Navy Lieutenant. I don't remember any ranks for Space Force, but they've got to be officers. I've no idea who Speedy, Transistor and Typhoon are. Are they more of the comic's 'red shirts'? |

Speedy is another version of Footloose, Transistor was a version of Dial Tone (even has the same last name.) and Typhoon was a comics only character just like Longslide and Major Flagg (who Id really like to get more info on) |

Major Flagg, real name Francis Munro-Deighton, was an officer who served as CO to Action Force in the 1985/86 period of BAF comics, serving to give out missions and so on. Some on BFTB liked to think he and The Commander were one and the same. I prefer to think The Commander is at least a 1-star and that Flagg is merely his aide-de-camp.

Hey guys, I've been reading your posts on Action Force and I'm unclear who Major Flagg and Typhoon are. I tried looking around google, BFTB, and I can't find even a pic. Any more info on them or pics? Greatly appreciated =)

Wasn't Longslide the name given to Footloose?

I've been reading the AF comics from start to finish. I haven't come across them yet.

Major Flagg was in the Battle Action Force continuity. He didn't appear in the Marvel UK comic. The Marvel UK Action Force comic introduced Trent who acted in a similar role above the field commander. |
