Yeah aside from Stevy D with enough 3 3/4" v1 Vipers to make a bridge to the moon, I think Arie would have been my first choice but yeah I think she did mentioned in her video that she was going to begin selling it as she completed her work.

Aire had a 3 story house filled from where you walk in the door to the top of the house. It was an impressive collection of Joe toys. Sadly due to illness, she had to sell off her entire collection before she got to finish any of her books. I do believe she kept the 1/6th figures though. They didnt take up asmuch room as all of the 3 3/4 variants. She also had toys from other linesin the actual toy room. Star Wars including a custom made Jabba Barge thather son made and won the biggest Star Wars fan compitition with, TMNT, M.A.S.K, Visionaries.. the list goes on and on.
It was hard to take in all at once, but after several visits, I finally got to see the extent of everything. It was a site that I am grateful to have seen and been a part of.

I don't know how you got it mixed up in with photos of Aire's (now gone) collection, but one of the photos in the middle (dark grey metal shelves with AT-AT box in bottom middle is from MY house, not hers. I must have posted it somewhere and it got mixed in with her images.
I filmed those YouTube videos. Her collection was amazing to see. She sold off most of her collection because of a hard drive crash (no back up), and she lost years worth of work she had put into the book. That was a major reason for selling, as well as some health issues, from what I've heard. I haven't talked to her since I filmed at her house, but she is a great person. There is also a collector that has 100,000 1985 Snow Serpent figures; Why are Snow Serpents going for so much $$$? Quote:

http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ollection.html To the OP, I use to have around 150 12" Joes, but am at around 15. 1/18th is my scale of choice. I'm sure there are a lot of collectors that have hundreds of them. You can search the internet (google 'massive toy collection') and find some photos, but I think the majority of collectors keep their collections on the down low. I remember I saw a documentary years ago, a guy had his entire attic ( Walk in full sized furnished) filled with a table about waist high, with a path to walk around it and on the table was an INSANE 12er diorama, mostly WWII themed with armor and artillery and rivers, boats ... It was just incredible. I think I was pretty young when I saw it.
Anyway between HOF, Classic style Joes and Dragon/ 21st guys I likely have a few dozen, and around a hounded of the Hasbro Star Wars 12ers I play in with them. I was at one time pretty into 12 inch stuff. Once I get my RAH dream set down, which is getting really close I will likely go back to it. |

My collection is fairly large now (4488 ME figures and maybe a couple hundred o-ring figures), but nowhere near as large as some of the largest collections.

I went to an estate sale a few years ago and the guy was a military collector and had made several dios. He had at least 3 rooms full. He had 12" inch Joes and a ton of 1/33rd and 1/45th scale vehicles and figures. Shelves full of stuff and very, very detailed war dios. It was a site to see.
