For Joe, despite the "small, fast" thing, I have to second the ATC. It has space for a rad op or two and an intelligence or ops guy for battle tracking, and it's got the mobility to get just about anywhere. Alternatively, he could be in a Mauler!

As for CC, I can see him in one of those big-ass helicopters, keeping an eye on things but able to evade as necessary.

General Patton was well know for leading the Battle from the front lines. He is also arguably t one of the greatsest Generals in US history. I have always pictured Hawk leading in the same fashion just perhaps without all the vulgarity lol
