Why Cool Breeze had a samurai sword? Why he had metallic arms? Why his suit/accessories were so unusual even for G.I.JOE standards?
Let me know Your thoughts, thank You. Cool Breeze - G.I. Joe Wiki - Joepedia - GI Joe, Cobra, toys

He had a sword because was running around with a bunch of ninjas. He had the metal sleeves because he had a sword he didn't know how to use!

Thought he was inspired by Rob Liefeld's Kane from the Wild Pack.

You're right, although only by 5 months. GI Joe #111 (Cool Breeze 1st appearance) came out April '91 and X-Force #2 (Kane 1st) was released Sept '91. Both were Marvel titles at the time. Coincidence?

He was a character introduced into the series only to die shortly thereafter. They probably didn't care what he did/looked like/carried. They even gave him moment of noble sacrifice [well, two, though one was a blunder in itself] to make you almost miss him.
But really, even his name, Cool Breeze, should've tipped you off that he was an "in... and right back out" character. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 08-22-2015 at 08:41 PM.. |

Whaaaaaaaaaat? Those look totally different. Cable's tank top doesn't even have camo print on it. And Flint's not all crouched over snarling... But you could kinda almost picture Snake-eyes in that pose holding three throwing knives, couldn't you?

If Hasbro'll produce a figure of Cool Breeze I'll never buy it.
