Based on the source it seems like a weak rumor. I wouldn't mind Jane at some point but I'd like to see someone more exciting for the mystery figure.

I think she's a good choice but might even be too exciting for the mystery figure. She might make more sense as a con exclusive like Colton. The mystery figure shouldn't be something that they could sell a lot of individually. Grand Slam might've been too boring but Blackout was a good choice, a figure no one but hardcore completists would really need but one that a lot of them would enjoy. Now if Jane is like the 2000s one just a repaint of Bombstrike with a new head, then it might not sell well on its own and is a good mystery figure. Pulling from the 2000s line is a good idea for mystery figures since they're not must-have core figures to most fans but they're from an era completists have some interest in.

Add Vypra and Crimson Asp.
I would love for GIJane to be the 13th mystery figure. Any female figure new to the ME line would be great. Any new character is great but I'm partial to females. GIJane would go great with the GIJoe from the last con. If she isn't in the FSS, maybe she could be an exclusive for the next con. I'm not sure if I would want her more battle ready like the first figure or in a lab coat and/or suit to match GIJoe more. Either way, she gets my vote this round. |

Dart, Scalpel and Crosshair are the only real standouts left. Sure, there are other decent ones (Medi-Viper, Slash, Cyborg overkill etc), but I think people will be upset with guys like say Switch Gears being the mystery figure. It needs to have some general appeal, and be desired to pump the subscription, but not a game-changer. Rumored Frostbite makes sense given the tiger-force theme of next year's con. Good choices might also be redos of some of the impossible to find figures from conventions - Claymore (in original deco), Darklon with different parts, etc. |
