So as some of you know a few years back I threw all my toys away...literally in some kind of blind rage packed them all up and threw them into a dumpster outside my apt building.Today I just put down a little over $100 to start collecting and creating again.

I know exactly how you felt! I try so hard to scale it down or quit! It is just such a huge part of me it will never happen, i end up just selling large sections at once losing my shirt. But some how some way i rebuild twice as fast! Brutally addictive!

It's crossed my mind to throw stuff away, I've amassed a collection too big for my home! I feel like a toy hoarder. Don't get carried away again.

I definitely have an urge to go Shaolin monk once in a while and sell the good stuff and give what's not worth selling to my nephews. I could never throw the stuff away though (no judgements of course) but at the very least maybe St. Judes would take it? There's always a kid out there who'd love to have it I'm sure. But lately I've been feeling like a hoarder myself. For me it's because I don't have much display space, but a good amount of storage space. My basement and attic look like the government storage facially where they put the Ark of the Covenant.

So you freed yourself from the toy monkey that was on your back once (and in a very painful manner I might add) only to go back down the rabbit hole again. I'd think twice about getting back into this, if it owned you once it will own you again. I really enjoy collecting action figures but you have to recognize when collecting takes over your life and cut it off and move on to things that are better for you. Sounds like your playing with fire, like an alcoholic rationalizing having "just one drink". While I wish you all the best I just can't help but feel that your going to be standing next to that dumpster again in a far worse state than you were before.

Too funny, I am in the exact same situation.....my toy room looks like a warehouse or shipping center!
