I put him in my list of the unnominated ARAH figures a couple threads ago. I was hoping someone would pick up his torch but I was forced to get the ball rolling.
I think Big Bear, Topside, Scoop, Payload and Dogfight are the most deserving post-Sunbow ARAH-era good guy figures left. I really don't think Countdown deserves to be in before Payload. He's too Reebok-y compared to Payload's classic astronaut look. After that group I'd put Charbroil, Hardball, Super Trooper and Backblast. Then I guess Nunchuk, Flagg, Jr. and Bushido. I'm surprised no one's started nomming Clean Sweep and Ozone yet, especially since they were just con figures this year. I guess I'd put them next more for the notoriety of Eco-Warriors and the neon trend it started. It's hard to get excited about any other heroes from this era. Every time I think Skidmark might be due I take another look at that clashing orange outfit and think again. Last edited by JediJones; 12-30-2014 at 12:40 AM.. |

Ozone looks pretty terrible though. And both he and Clean Sweep suffer from lack of media exposure.
I always liked Ozone, a great hazmat look, and very awesome headsculpts for both ARAH and club versions. But he won't place for a LONG time. Skidmark's orange is jarring, but the short story in Cobra Wars is amazing. sadly not enough have read it apparently. Might be time for Wraith, or some of the better modern era guys since we're getting down to the very boring ARAH remnants at this point (other than a handful) and there are only a few standout media-only characters left. |

I looked at the villains earlier and I think there are about 10 of them plus 10 troopers who could win the poll right now if they got in. But they're behind in nominations.

We need to go to 3 noms to get past a few of the possible repeat offenders. Maybe now if you come off the boards you start at 20 instead of 30 noms?

What is the new rules for sitting out? Less than 5 votes in 3 polls?
The problem we are running into is we have 7 pollwarmers sitting at the top. In fact 10 out of the next 11 are pollwarmers. The 10 after them are all better candidates but some still need 15 votes to get in. I think the ten on the board are all good candidates, fear of letting in the next set of pollwarmers is affecting our voting.

That's not true. 4 out of the next 10 have never been in the poll.
The rules have been explained in this thread already. You can bump the pollwarmers out with a lower nomination count but you just delay the inevitable, because some people are insistent on nominating junk characters like Chameleon and Ice Cream Soldier. Unless you change the rules that let one person pump a loser into the poll, it won't stop. At the same time, Jane was booted and got back in as a viable candidate. At least under this new system there should always be 5 viable candidates in at one time, but possibly 5 recycled pollwarmers. I still would change the rules to make it harder to get pollwarmers back in. Beef's giving himself more work with this cycling he has to manage. Last edited by JediJones; 12-30-2014 at 10:14 AM.. |
