well the one guy didn't even know what it was so that should tell you something about dealing with them. I've only seen 2 episodes of the show and I really can't stand it.
Toy Hunter was better by far.

Ah. I see that now LOL!
That offer was basically a slap in the face. I'm going to try to catch this episode later to check out your Defiant. I bet it's pretty minty if you are dragging it out to them and onto TV. Probably worth all of the $600 you were wanting for it. I saw a yellowed Terrordrome at a convention last weekend for $200 and thought that was a good deal. LOL

My defiant is missing some pieces. I've gotten a few since the show aired. However the doors are 100% minty and the crank mechanism works. So everything can be upgraded pretty easy. It's jsut the fins that are SO expensive.
100 was laughable....but I'm pretty sure I only paid 80 bucks for it when I got it a few years ago. Quote:

I watched the episode... being a comic artist, I usually watch anything and everything comic book related... and I thought they were assholes for trying to rip you off. $100?! Truly laughable. Especially the way Walt, Mr. Holier Than Thou... in his own mind, said something to the effect of "That thing will mess up my counter. Take it to the back." when you tried to show it to them. Like it was dirty or something and "unworthy" of defiling the counter at The Secret Stash.
I tell you, not to get completely off subject, but I really liked that show the first couple seasons. As the show has gone on though, it has really gone down hill. Attitudes and egos have swollen ten fold and it just isn't fun, or funny, any more. Walt thinks he is something special just because he has drawn a few comics, been in a couple movies and is friends with Kevin Smith... The latter being the reason for the first two. I think he is a joke. He is such a cocky bastard... simply for knowing Kevin (Who I have met a couple times and is also a self centered S.O.B.). I used to laugh my ass off at that show, but it has become just like every other pawn / how much is my stuff worth show. Nothing but a bunch of rip offs trying to be funny and make people look stupid to boost their already swollen egos. (I swear, if I hear Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars laugh at another one of his stupid jokes or "witty" comments that no one finds funny but himself, I'll shoot myself in the face!) Where would the Comic Book Men be if Kevin Smith hadn't decided to make the show? Walt would be sitting at the counter of the shop thinking about the good old days "starring" in Kevin's movies and drawing comics that Kevin wrote, swimming in delusions that he could get anything done on his own merit. Bryan would probably be on some sexual predator list or making passengers uncomfortable on a bus somewhere. Mike would probably be the same since he is the only one on the show that seems to be grounded at all. And Ming would... well... Ming would probably still be getting picked on for being the token Asian kid. Nothing but Short Round and Mini Bruce Lee jokes! I just think it's funny that these guys "know everything" about toys and comics (or at least think they do), but know absolutely nothing about one of the biggest toy lines of all time. They went to a My Little Pony convention on one episode... maybe they should try a JoeCon some time.

I watched the show and just wanted to chime in with a comment. $!00 is laughable but it really was obvious they didn't want to buy it. They have had the Flagg on there before and low balled its price as well.
If I may ask. Did they talk to you before they recorded you for air or was the camera man already there? I always wondered if they did a pre interview before they shot the scene. That way they could act like they knew something about the items they feature on the show. That said, the show is entertaining to me. I could care less for the wise cracks and jokes but love seeing and hearing about some of the items that are brought to them. It is not a great show, that's for sure, but there aren't many shows like it that are.
