As others have said, I believe if you make the toys and sell them the buyers will come. And if you can replicate the cartoons from arah with something new and fresh they will buy stuff when they come. There are ka-billions (figure of speech) of Americans that have the family connection to the military; people who don't care if their kids play with war toys. Almost everyone I know has an uncle, cousin, brother, sister, parent or friend that served in the sand box and Afghanistan. Todays kids have grown up hearing war stories about these places just like I did about WW2 and Korea/Vietnam. Send GI Joe to the Middle East, via cartoons, fighting terrorists and solving problems on a weekly basis and I really believe the franchise will blossum.
Incidentally, just because you have a family member in the military or even were in the military yourself doesn't mean you're a G.I. Joe fan or automatically want to buy it for your kids. I know a good many Vets who went to the Sand Box for whom the LAST thing they want is their kids to be in the military, particularly in wartime. |

G.I. Joe is not going anywhere! Will G.I. Joe toys be what it was in the eighties? -No! It doesn't need to be! As much as some us bitch and moan; Hasbro is doing a descent job! Could they change some of the vehicle choices, the color schemes and some of the figures Hasbro/G.I. Joe is offering as of late? -Yes! I'm glad that G.I. Joe toys are still around!

if they could put a complete line together with a cartoon and then actually have the things in the cartoon represented in toy form they MIGHT stand a chance.
i still think a silly/fun ARAH inspired KREO toon was the way to go awhile ago.

I dont think we need to save anything. We have gotten new figures every year minus one since 1982. That's crazy. Even Star Wars had a longer break than that I think.

I'd like to see them revive the Adventure Team. Although I prefer the 12 inch ones, the 3 3/4 inch would be ok. I know the club made two or three of them a few years ago and they looked alright. Can't you see the MSV, ATV and the copter in small scale? That would be awesome!!! Maybe do a cartoon as well! Offer an AT kit as a mail away..The possibilities are endless

It needs a new cartoon; either CG or anime style to appeal to kids, or a third movie to come out. If a new cartoon is done it has to be on a network that will for sure play it and not let it languish at a terrible hour and then quickly cancel it.
The style of a new cartoon should focus more on spy stuff. Toys should then be released to tie in and be compatible in scale to other modern era Joes. |

Save the franchise?
Let Hasbro know what you like and don't like and be honest. Also be fair. Be innovative.
