If a variation of this thread already exists, I apologize. I'm just kinda looking for some different point of views. Character-wise who is everybody's favorite Joe that is from the Marine Corps branch? The Joes that spring to mind are of course Gung-Ho, Sgt. Slaughter and Leatherneck. I'm sure there is more that I can't think of off-hand. My personal favorite is Sgt. Slaughter, ever since I was a kid. He embodies the Marine philosophy to me - the proud, iron jawed, macho bada$$ Drill Instructor. Anybody else want to weigh in?

Leatherneck is a fave of mine. Mainframe and Hollow Point are some other options.

GUNG-HO for me. Dad was a Marine. 1986 was a banner year with three Marines Leatherneck, Slaughter, and Mainframe.
Other than them there is only Hollow-Point from BTR days. Most likely Mace is a Marine as well. Movie Sgt Stone is sporting a globe and anchor tattoo on his arm. Lt. Stone from GIJoe Extreme is a Marine. Movie Lady Jaye is a Marine Captain. There is some debate about Col Sharp from the cartoon as its never mentioned but his Garrison Khakis would be Marine appropriate than Army well probably Navy or WWII appropriate but the Joes need a Marine officer.

Clutch, Mirage, and Blast Off are all Mega Marines. As my favorite, I have to go with the original Joe Marine. For me it's Gung-ho. I just hope Hasbro releases their concept vault figure.
