I would say jugglers individually. When he get's enough noms, I'll enter him into the poll as Saw Viper / Overkill. Kind of like I did with Kamakura / Sean Collins. That will be an interesting character to find a graphic for, as I guess I'm not entirely sure whether the original Overkill card art would be appropriate. But go ahead and nominate him as Saw Viper / Overkill and I'll figure out how to represent him when the time comes. I might change it later, like I have others.

Not that my say matters in the least but the jugglers would be individuals same as Oktober Guard, Iron Grenediers, Cobra or G.I. Joe. S.A.W. viper only becomes Overkill in one continuity so I would say they are separate characters. However the S.A.W. viper may or may not be lumped in with the other S.A.W vipers.

There's no indication on the Overkill file cards I looked at that they have anything to do with SAW Viper. In fact, the original Overkill says he's completely a robot, not part-human or a cyborg.

Thus we would have 3 entries: SAW Vipers (troopers) Overkill (robot) THE SAW Viper who becomes a cyborg named Overkill (individual)

Overkill (2) was not meant to be SAW viper, that was just one writer's take on it.

At least 3, maybe 4. Obviously Scarface is a separate character from the regular Cobra Soldier, so this is the same thing. The question would be is this version from a comic that says he used to be a SAW Viper a 4th version, and not the same character as the 2000s figures, whose file cards never mentioned anything about him being a SAW Viper?
The issue with the name is like Dial-Tone...there is a female version with the same code name, but who is obviously a different character. So the 1992 Overkill who is a pure robot is not the same character as the 2000s Overkill who was described as a cyborg and given a human face (except for one version that was just a repaint of the 1992 one but retained the cyborg/50% human description). |
