The choices didn't really seem that odd to me, they used the most recent figure for most everybody at the time, and when they had a character with multiple cards, they used different figure versions of the characters for different cards. Pretty much every card (that had a figure) can be traced back to a specific figure version.

I was looking at the "G.I.Joe TCG Poster" artwork and the first thing that came to mind was the Village People dancing...Y.M.C.A.!!!! COBBRRAAAAA!!!!!!!, Y.M.C.A.!!!!!

I've got a crap-ton of cards on ebay.....I'm always willing to do a bulk deal for them. I also have a game board poster thing and an advanced rules book that I would just throw in with them.

3 out of 4 Duke cards were based on that wal-mart exclusive version I mentioned. One, sure why not? Both Gung-Ho cards seem to based on his VvsV exclusive desert repaint, too. For Roadblock they did one card in his desert repaint and a 12" figure from 1993. I can guess they expected to get to other uniforms in future decks that were never made. |
