Sometimes this site is a Joe collectors worst enemy when it comes to anything. Hey, scalpers are decent people, right? LOL. They cost you decent amounts of time, decent amounts of gas, decent amounts of money. |

Hey, scalpers are going to be an affliction for this line no matter what anyone says on here. I mean, we’ve got a small limited line concentrated in one known location, full of classic ARAH updates and sought-after re-releases, Concept Vault figs, Fkin Ultimate DESTRO, landing after a substantial product lull/hiatus of almost a year, after 2+ years of focus on a messy ill-received movie line, after years of reliance on high-priced figures from the Club to fulfill collector’s addictions…so come on, don’t blame people on here. Blame, IDK, the Great Delay or something. Or the weather.

No the blame goes on here when everyone says "OOOO I want this one figure" or "these are going to be rare". The internet is a toy collectors worst enemy when it comes to this crap. Ive been doing this for 18 years with the internet.
If I came on here and said the smurf reissues were hot and I wanted one and got 50 more of you to say the same thing you could walk into TRU and that one "hot" smurf that has been on the pegs for a year would suddenly be gone. |

Though this whole scalper thing is getting pretty f***ing old. Yes, they're people that will clear out the shelves, but are we 100% sure it's a scalper? How do we know it's not just a Collector hoarding everything? How many times do we read on the boards "I'll buy multiples. I'm gonna troop build the hell out of _____. I'm buying everything I see." As for scalpers, yeah there are some ridiculous prices, then again we're the ones driving up the prices. It's a f***ing auction people. According to Webster's auction: a public sale at which things are sold to the people who offer to pay the most. Any true Collector should know by now if you want something work for it. Get to the store at opening (if you can) don't complain there was nothing left when I went at lunch or after work. Use the phone, many complain about retail customer services, just remember treat others the way you want to be treated. Use Hisstank, with over 24,000 members I'm pretty sure you can find a handful that are willing to help.

I'm looking at getting everything, maybe doubles of some. But it really depends on well these figures are distributed - some TRUs are going to end up with stock left on the shelf while others will be completely barren. Some sort of statistical mathematics can be applied here to the number of Joe collectors within a specified distance to every TRU - as well as the number made available online. I have a feeling that these figure sets will be distributed in low numbers, so just buying to support the line may screw others out of finding the figures they want.
