I "outgrew" the Joes back in '85 just in time to miss out on the FLAGG. I grew an interest back after salvaging some of my old Joe stuff from my parent's garbage dumpster on one visit.

I lost interest once they started changing the style of the cards, like the ninja forces and etc. It didn't look like the GI Joe that I knew back in the 80s.

I switched from "playing with" figures to "collecting" them at twelve years old in 1989. Gave up on collecting in my teens, but started again in 1999. At that time, G.I. Joe hadn't really kept up with modern toy sculpts, so I didn't get back into it, except for the odd purchase here and there, until the 25th Anniversary line was shown last February. I never lost interest in the comics or the characters, though.

The first time I stopped buying them was right around the time Serpentor hit the shelves...one of the last figures I got. After that I didn't pick it up again until around 1991...And have not stopped since!

I stopped after the '92 series as by 1993 I entered high school and toys just weren't important anymore. Luckily I got right back on the horse in '97 when the TRU 15th Anniversary figures came out.

It started around 91-92. I was still getting most figures from that time and a few from 93.

Never really lost interest in G.I. Joe, but I stopped collecting the figures around 1988/89. I recall having a few figures and vehicles from those years, but I can't say exactly when I stopped getting them. The 25th Anniversary, like many others, brought me back into collecting them. I've even gone back to the previous years and started picking up figures to add to the collection. So deep down the interest has always been there, just went dormant for a while.
