Question for the masses:
How long do you keep an offer open on a proposed sell aka "Pending" before re-listing the items? Situation: Possible Buyer asks for information on items from a B/S/T thread. I reply with availability and request them to make an offer, clarify some particulars and request a zip code so I can estimate shipping. They reply with a question to me requesting a cost. I reply with a proposal and now wait for accept and shipping information or a reject and counter offer. Each PM exchange has been about a 24 hour interval.

I would say 24 hours- on to the next guy...you'd have to factor in someone works or other obligations until they make it back to the computer- They are the one who showed the interest and communication is the key.

I've gone a week or more before hearing back from some people. while with others, I can go back and forth throughout a single day and make a deal and ship it the next day. its really up to you. are you in a hurry ?

I figure some people are busy and may only have time to hop on the tank once a day. I routinely find people taking days up to a week sometimes. Which is ridiculous when you have a bst posted or are sending pms back and forth. Once a day is fine but the three dayers drive me crazy.

Well, I am not in a hurry but if it does not happen soon then the excuse will be JoeCon, Easter or Spring Break... (mostly mine)
I start packing to move next month and would rather not move stuff and I will close all deals prior to that so the stuff may go back into a stale BST list.

I give a couple days sometimes a week. Gotta give people some time and remember some people have lives outside hisstank.

I would say you snooze you lose. Sell it to the first one that locks the deal in. You are not entitled to exclusive rights to an item just because you are dickering.

I myself have drug deals out for months but that is usually because they are trades and things keep getting added, but I have also started negotiated and closed a deal in a day. I say if you have time constraints let it be known to them and go from there
