Ok this possibly may not go here but with the recent wave of Cobra-la influence threads it got me thinking has anyone tried to expand they're cobra-la army be it with custom figures or new characters backgrounds ? if so who did you come up with? another reason this popped into my head is I started my own custom original Cobra la character (so keep your eyes peeled to the customs section for pics at some point)

No Joes lend themselves to Cobra-La customs without heavy modification, and I never customize anything with Cobra-La in mind, but any weird-ass monster toy is a potential Cobra-La beast.
The Red Faction Ravager is a great one: Ditto McFarlane's otherwise useless and silly Brain Drain: And Marvel Select's Lizard: You might could use Mantenna's head for a custom of some creepy giant Cobra-La monster: I also like the Doctor Who Empress: And so on... |

I only recently learned that Nullifier was likely intended to be a Cobra La driver/pilot, so now I can't look at him without thinking of that.

Yes, but most of my stuff is extremely and heavily converted stuff and may not even be recognized as the original characters any more. I'm currently working on a Nemesis and a rather complex Golobulus but once I get done with that I really want to make a bio-armor suit for the royal guard, something like the equivalent of a tank.
Funny about Monte's suggestions is that I got two of those Red Faction figures for my guard and I had been looking for a reasonably priced Empress figure for the same reason.
