So I'm working on a sort of mini-poster and I have filecard art for all 163 RAH Joe characters. However, I have to eliminate 9 of them to make them all fit. So I am looking at eliminating the least relevant characters but would like input. I do not want to eliminate any pre-battle corps individually-carded figures, main-team vehicle drivers, or somewhat prominent characters. I've narrowed it down to the following:
1) The Fridge 2) T'Gin-Zu 3) General Flagg (since it is the son, not the original) 4) Ice-Cream Soldier 5) Snow-Storm 6) Blast-Off 7) Effects 8) Robo-Joe 9) Bushido 10) Banzai 11) Skystriker 12) Star Duster 13) Rumbler 14) Hot-Seat 15) Windchill 16) Cold Front 17) Major Altitude 18) Long-Arm 19) Mace 20) Rapid Fire I never watched the DIC comics, and I don't remember any of them appearing in the Marvel comics. Can anyone offer some insight on anyone I listed that makes them better than anyone else on the list? Thanks Last edited by beef664422; 02-26-2014 at 05:50 PM.. Reason: Removed one. |

Windchill and Mace were just cool, Windchill drove the Arctic Blast and been around since about 1989.
Fridge was a cool mail away of the actual football player. Nothing to really be included on such a poster really unless you were a fan of his. Robo Joe, Effects, Blast-Off, Banzai, and Bushido are pretty forgettable. |

I'd agree with you on Effects, Blast-Off, Banzai, and Bushido being forgettable, but Mace is cool as an undercover agent(see Generalsjoes.com's dio with him against Gristle) and Robo Joe can actually be used to take on Overkill since he's a robot too.

ONly a few of those I recall from the comics - 1,2,13. Skystriker was just Ace misnamed, probably...
Fridge was in the limited comics that showed all of the characters. |

Are you going strictly off character relevance, or toys?
I think you should leave in the following: Skystriker: part of Tiger Force Starduster- mail in figure, great piece of joe toy mythos Fridge-same as Starduster 12-17- all great vehicle driver figures |

hot seat had a pretty cool story in the Joe comics during the battle of behnzeen. Him and Steeler kinda acted like jerks to the joe infantry when they were battling Metalhead,
and Snowstorm is the only Cuban on the Joe team. (why does Hama have a fixation on people from warm climates hating hot weather?)

I think I tweaked it so I only have to bump out 5...
hoping I can modify it more but thanks for the input. I'm actually rereading the marvel run, but I'm only in the 90's. Isn't Behnzeen like 109-113, where all the joes died? |
