A modern military faction associated with a fictional nation with real world overtones. See the original ARAH Special Missions series.
Although I'd rather see Cobra developed and explored more. Cobra often seems a little stale these days because the focus is always on the same command level bickering. I'd like to see a more Viper-level focus. The various specialist troops haven't ever really gotten the attention they deserve. Whole plot lines could be based around the alliance and rivalries between the various kinds of specialist infantry. |

Special Ops squad They go on missions that aren't classified fighting various threats that *may* have an underlying link behind them ( a shadow organization that is known as the serpent aka Cobra). Stargate without the aliens (well at least 99% alien free). |

I tell you what I think would be so cool. Kind of like star treks mirror , mirror universe. Only have a couple joes and cobras get mixed up and have to work together to escape. The figures could be so cool. Can u imagine an evil snake eyes, or heroic Zartan? The posibilities are endless. Kinda cool customs idea too

An army of super strong babies. Aliens from the planet Gerber that hide their space weapons in their diapers. They've come to Earth to steal our cows because their cows are dying from a rare space disease on their home planet of Gerber. G.I. Joe must stop them from stealing all the cows from the Earth because humans love chocolate milk and, milk in our morning coffees.

I think Joes need an expanded Rouges gallery...let cobra just be one faction or group they go after.

Hasbro just needs to hire a few writers for a while and have them craft new factions, plot lines, and characters. Take some of the things that didn't work so well, rework them, and expand on their backstories. The Red Shadows need to be incorporated, some of Action Force, Make something out of Cobra La that works.
Basically, they need to do for GI JOE what Tolkien did for Middle Earth and Martin did for Westeros (not sure what the whole world is called just the main continent). Once they have this JOE bible they can start some cartoons, movies, games, and toylines from it.

Sci-fi, space, future, etc.
By doing it in this realm, Joe is opened up to more possibilities and not tied down by things that currently restrict it. Example: G I Joe is mostly military. It's fighting "terrorists". Yet, in the year 2014 there are many parents out there who don't want their kids playing with war toys and playing "kill the terrorists". Sorry, but absolutely true. With a brand that is struggling so hard on life support, makes sense to take away all things that hinder it's growth, even if that means an (almost) complete revamp. There will be fans who will bitch about it, but then again, these are mostly the same fans who want everything to be just like it was in the 1980's. If Joe is going to get a revamp, use a different core group. Kids don't know or care and for those long time fans who want to stick with it and support it, a new core team beside the usual fanfare of Duke, Scarlett, Snake Eyes and Roadblock would be refreshing. I envision a small, formidable and capable team that consists of: 1. Falcon--field leader and tactician 2. Cover Girl--she's an expert mechanic and demolitions expert 3. Budo--silent weapons, sniper 4. Rock N' Roll--support 5. Dial Tone--tech whiz This team is placed directly under the control of Admiral Lonzo Wilkinson. The story: In the 22nd century, earth is hit hard by an unknown alien force. The survivors of the attack form under one alliance. With resources stretched thin, and the earth filled with radiation and rampant disease, the alliance gets busy colonizing Mars to start over. As colonization progresses, a one James McCullough shines as a savior of sorts as he supplies the alliance with weapons and armament, with his MARS technology. It is his technology that saves Mars from another attack by the same alien army. This time, they are repelled and sent back into the darkness of space. Time passes, and McCullough dies. His son, a prodigal son, with little known of him, inherits his Father's technology. In the meantime, Mars has been colonized and prospers. There have been no attacks or threats from space. Peace seems achieved. But heads of state, politicians and innocent civilians are suddenly being murdered. An outpost near Jupiter, where colonization is about to occur, is hit hard and nearly completely devastated. While some fear the aliens have returned, some with the alliance suspect something else. Admiral Lonzo Wilkinson puts together his own task force of crack shot pilots and specialists from the famous Striker squadron to investigate the attacks. This universe of Joe I envision best done as an animated series. The first season is focused on the team, their qualities and weaknesses, and the reason for McCullough's attacks on the Alliance and it's civilians. Does he know something they don't? Why is he against colonization of Jupiter? Who are those who are helping him in his endeavor? Who are the mysterious alien force that lurks out in the dark, ready to strike again? What are their motivations for attacking earth?
