Just wanted to address something. I was involved in about 5 trades last week. I had one that was worrying me involving some big dollar items. I posted in aggravation, and I might have stepped on some toes, because my other deals were having problems on their end with the weather and so forth. Anyway I wanted to publicly apologize to those guys. I have found that although we all live miles apart, and don't know each other except by our handles. The tank in ways is one big family. We might disagree on a subject or a post, but we are all brothers and sisters in our love for our hobby. Weither we are carded collectors or kitbashers, we all share a love for this hobby. We all worry about lack of product, and cheer any glimpse of news for upcomming items. I just want to say thank you for being kind to me, and I'm proud to be part of such a unique and special place. I consider the tank members my extended family. All of you, members, staff, and our sponsers have made this a nice retreat from the real world. It's nice to know after the work day is done, and we hustle to get our grocery shopping done, our bills paid, and spend some quality time with our real families, we have this retreat to unwind in.

This is by far the best message board I've ever seen. For years, I simply would not post on boards after some bad experiences on Star Wars boards during the prequel era (yeah, I'm a MEGA dork). Here, there's no drama, no flaming, a very large community that (in my growing experience) is trustworthy and fair in making trades with absolutely no safety net. Great job keeping the Tank classy.

I was the head admin at jedi.net back in the day and I can't begin to tell you the amount of drama I dealt with on a daily basis. It was everything from who travelling all over the country to sleep with eachother to complaints about mods, other admins, and everything else under the sun.
I like the tank. Everyone seems to get along and its overall a fun place. |

While I've seen some drama here on the tank, most people are easy-going and respectful of others' opinions. I think the mods do a good job of squelching any problems pretty quickly. I haven't been a member of other boards, but inhave seen posts from them, and they can be venomous. I don't get that. Sometimes people think they're big stuff sitting behind a keyboard. SW and TF fans can be pretty vicious. We joe fans, we are just whiny and cheap! ;-)

I have had many disagreements on the boards here over conversations, but trading/dealing has been amazing. Look at all the feedback I have. Out of all those deals, I have only had one person truly screw me over. And even that was not a huge deal as far as monetary value goes. In today's world, trading on the Tank is one of the few interactions with society where I am truly impressed with my fellow man. That sounds like an exaggeration, but it's true. I deal with many different people everyday through my job. The vast majority of them are only looking out for themselves. In Tank deals, it always seems like everyone is trying to take care of their fellow Tanker. Now let me "knock on wood" before I totally get screwed on my next trade!

Don't believe anything CIAD tells you about the spring of 2004... we were simply enjoying a banana.
