Should I make a stop-motion Pursuit of Cobra Film? It would take me over a year to make (Having to go to a beach to film the dessert battle, and filming the Arctic threat in winter of next year), and with post-production, it could be two years or more, and longer if I included voices. I also don't have all the figures, so it would take longer for that, so it could be 3 years depending on everything. I've always wanted to do a stop motion film, but I've never found a good idea or adapting source. I'd have to write a script, which should be easy (Since poc already has a plot).
Should I or not? |

Me and Joe Goldston had an absolute blast making Joes' Anatomy!
Part 1: Joes' Anatomy - part one - YouTube Part 2: Joes' Anatomy - part two - YouTube Joe spent three months making the sets and securing the props. We shot it in a month or so. Editing took a few weeks. Obviously this is a smaller scope with limited sets, and your idea (especially shooting on location) sounds more involved. We used a Canon T2i and a USB cable connected to a mac with Dragonframe software. It was TONS of fun. We laughed our butts off, especially writing the script, recording the voices, and editing. The shooting is painstaking. |

Should I or not? maybe you could do a series of shorts and then have your one epic poc project going simultaneously since it will take so long for at one to pay off. might be good practice as well. just an idea. I wish I was cool enough to make something like that.

Most films are not filmed in order. This winter is plenty good to start with those parts now.
