I often find myself trying to think of the coolest code name for whatever custom I am working on. Sometimes I find myself applying codenames to people I interact with, but that is another story all together....
Anyway, I thought it would be amusing to come up with codenames that are underwhelming and give a small synopsis. It's probably a useful excercise, gets out all the bad codenames from the brain, and only leaves rooms for the really good ones!! You can make up your own, or throw in the Hasbro obvious ones: i.e. (Skidmark, Ice Cream Soldier, etc....) First couple that come to my mind: Misfire and Terrets Misfire lasted 2 days on the Joe team, where-in he was quickly kicked off the force by Flint. Recruited for his superior computer knowledge and programming skills, he had all the right stuff to infiltrate cobra's databases and firewalls. Due to a slight oversight, he was never field tested. Unfortunately, if you give Misfire any sort of weapon, there is a 50/50 chance he will shoot his teammate as well as the enemy. From Lifeline's files, "Misfire was sent out with three greenshirts and road block to intercept the baroness and a squad of cobras, apparently misfire "accidently" took out the three greenshirts, and then was knocked unconsious by RoadBlock." No Joe. Terrets was brought on board for his superior marksmanship. Competing with Lowlight, he was able to outshoot him at every distance and difficulty. Unfortunately he doesn't share lowlights ability when it comes to stealth. From Lowlight's files: "Terrets and I were laid in position and sneaking up on a swath of cobra bats and rangevipers... next thing I know someone is yelling at the top of their lungs and singing yankee doodle......" needless to say, we had blown our cover. |

I don't like codenames that are too derivative or presumptuous.
