Resolute. So much tech. Yet no trace of cult-favorite computer savvy; Mainframe. I’m glad Warren Ellis has warts, is human, and has overlooked this one significant character. For if Resolute did descend into a bloodbath, I wouldn’t want it to effect this underground cult-classic character. After all, it was he who fixed Bumblebee in the G.I.Joe v. Transformers cross-over; and we’ve yet to transfer that billy-bad-ass mini-series into movies. Mainframe's such a critical key character interlacing the narrative threads which bind the Joe and Transformer universes; as one. His unique characteristics has all the more to offer now, significantly more than ever before - to this computer-driven world. With the new toon radiating glimmers of hope, prior to the movie, I like to see years, nay, decades of good sh!t to look forward to. Like what a live-action movie sequel can look like; when Dataframe handles a brigade of a billion B.A.T.S.! How cool of a sequel will that be!?! It’s a rhetorical question I’d like you boys and girls to play with, and reply here, with your creative imaginations. Or better yet; G.I. Joe v. Transformers, the movie. The Trilogy! And, how many a mindful path can cult character Dataframe step-up to dealing with even bigger bots the Decepticons! What say you?

Normally, I have nothing in common with the tech type guys. I mean aside that they make HISSTANK possible
But I think Mainframe is an intergral player in the Joeverse and with a TF crossover he could practically be the key Joe player. Like I said, generally speaking, not my thing. But I have a soft spot in my heart for Mainframe, I'm a big fan of his CP figure too..and I thought that comic was one of the better reads in the CP's. So yeah, anything to put him into the spotlight a bit more..I'm all for it. I'd actually prefer him a part of a group or team where he may be the sole tech member. It makes him stand out more...actually, as we speak he rides shotgun in the desert A.W.E. Striker, shutting down all of Cobra's software as they blast past the Desert Assualt group!! I know I'm a bit off topic, just sharring my love for the charecter...I think you can go places with him in a TF storyline. Perhaps re-programing BATS to use AGAINST Decepticons. Hell...scramble and re program Wraith's suit against Decepticons!...endless story lines with this guy! |

In honor of the voice of Bumblebee coming to the big Toy Con this weekend; a time where we will all be watching the end or errr the begining of Resolute; here's thee first comic where Bumblebee gets shafted, yet Mainframe saves him, and started the vast potentiality for endless story lines still to come...

You know what would be waaaaaaaaaaay cool? If that Transformers techno-virus can infect the Flagg. Maybe Paramount studios can cull a character or anonymous actor playing one of the scientists from past TF movies and make him Mainframe! What a cool cameo would that be?! Indeed, from the new TF Revenge of teh Fallen movie trailer, 0:38-0:42, "meteors pelt one carrier, military planes fall overboard..." Hmmmmmm.

I'm backing slowly out of this thread... Tranformers are infecting the Joe boards...

Excellent point, Troynos. Joes shouldn't be completely infected and should wield at the end; a healthy degree of autonomy to stand on his own. I hope the same can be said of ROC. Thus the logic of my thinking of ways to tie-in more successful venues, TF. Least for the moment. Your right, Troynos. TF shouldn't "takeover" Joes. On that note, back to Mainframe. Gosh, I just wish the dude was at least in the background, SOMEWHERE, in the techology-rich Resolute.
