Okay, to start I attended a funeral this week for my fiancé’s grandfather. I met the future in laws for the first time, and all went well strangely enough. On the way back from Bay City to Waco, my fiancé tried to make me happy from the stressful week as a “thank you” for going with her. Now I admit I asked for nothing, I just went because it was the right thing to do. So, she get’s this idea and say’s “You’ve been looking for that Tracker guy for your GI Joes, right?” I of course nod my head child like almost begging. She gets this AWESOME idea that we will stop at EVERY Wal-Mart/Target we see from Bay City to Waco. So we started in Bay City, where I see ONE Cobra Commander warming the peg…and that was it. Yeah, whole toy isle, one figure. Then we left to continue our adventure… to Wharton, they had like five Cobra Disguised Flint…but I’m on a budget here people…I just want the ONE Matt Tracker figure. We hit the next town, Wallis….didn’t even have a Wal Mart…but…BUT…the did have an All You Can Fried Chicken Buffet, which we did NOT stop at because frankly…Because no one really should eat “all they can eat” of anything - BUT especially Fried Chicken. So I retort…Sealy had a good variety of everyone BUT who I was looking for! I found a cool Torch…ya know, I hadn’t seen him yet…I like the brown vest. But I put him back, and kept going. We had Breakfast in Sealy…if in Sealy…I recommend a restaurant named Tony’s. Located close to the Wal-Mart, and the food was pretty good. Service was great, BUT it was tip her or buy Matt Tracker, in times like these, sacrifices need to made…so we kept moving. Brenham, offered me three Cobra F’n Commanders and more Under Cover Flints. Now Matt Tracker is on the back of Flint’s package, now I just feel mocked. By now, I’m looking at that Corps Tank, just pondering whether I should just buy that and go home…but…I stayed strong. Then to Somerville. I’m thinking with a town so close to Spring Field I’m thinking…Oh yeah! This is it. We drive in to town, and a half mile later we are out of the town. I don’t think this crappy town even has a zip code. And if it does, it’s only two-digits! Sorry, I’m getting frustrated. Then back on the road again. Next stop Cald Well. Now this was COOL! The ONLY cool thing about my adventure. We find a Wal-Mart. And it’s not just any Wal-Mart. It was an OLD Wal-Mart! I walked in and jinxed myself by saying…I don’t care whether I find him or not…I’m just glad I found an Old Wal-Mart!! And sure enough that is exactly what I did…NOT find him. BUT if you’re looking for Star Wars…have it at it guys…there ARE not in the action figure isle. There on like two in caps! Why does Star Wars NEED two in caps UGH (No offence to Star War‘s Fans)! Now we are about an hour from home…and there we go. Next town is Cameron. I’m guessing named after the 80’s teen sensation. We drive, and drive, and drive. Pass mini (and I do mean MINI) strip mall after strip mall. As we pass this eclectic barrage of Auto Part Stores, Check Casing places, and one single solitaire Bealls Department Store, we find NO NOTHING! Now just to put icing on the cake…as you leave this town…THEY, have the audacity to place a sign at the edge of town, that says…THANK YOU FOR SHOPPING CAMERON!!! WHAT THE F---!!!! C’MON!!! Even if I WANTED to Shop there…where would I shop at. My Finance started laughing and made the quick joke…THEY have ONE STORE!!! I reply with “Yeah, and like FOUR Auto Part stores, how many break downs does this one town have!” So we leave, now we hit Temple (30 minutes from home). And there we are, at a Target. A Scalper is leaving the isle. Fortunately I checked his basket, he only had three Tiger Rattlers. I breathed a sigh of relief, knowing I would have stabbed him by now for this ONE figure. So I just settled, picked up a Marvel Universe Dead Pool (The cool one, not the Hasbro Custom Baraka). And then we came home. Well, that raps up my saga. I want to know, any of you guys felt the same way looking for the ONE figure! I wanna hear your story. I know, I know…I could order it…but I rather not pay those outrageous shipping prices for a toy we should just have. God knows I can Cobra Trooper Flint and Cobra F’N Commander EVERYWHERE! LOL. Well thanks for letting me vent.

Hey, thanks for the writing correction on the whole paragraph thing...LOL..saddly enough I was NOT offended, in fact I'm so use to MySpace Blogs turning my stuff into one paragraph I just quit worrying about it any more. *sigh, the pains of modern communication. Sorry, if my long winded one paragraph bothered any one...I'll do better next time. LOL.
To those of you with the E-Bay links...THANK YOU. That is actually what I MAY be doing. I'm gonna try a few more weeks, see what happens. Funny, I bought a Barbecue figure from a Comic Shop cuz he was was no where to be found and paid TOO much for him, now I find him everywhere! But E-bay is my next option! Thank all you you for your help, and such a speedy response See...paragraphs! Cool huh! I'm getting the hang of it! :-) |
