xamot's scar???

i'll freely admit i was a cartoon guy as a kid and by the time i got into the comics it was already turning into gi joe STARRING SNAKE EYES so i think i missed the scar.....where did it come from? was it ever covered in the comics? i cant seem to find out how he got it. any of you guys know?

Possibly during their time with the Foreign Legion Paras or the bush wars of Africa and South America that their file card mentions?
One file card I read says it was "acquired in a Third World mercenary fight gone bad" and that is what "finally propelled XAMOT to change his machine gun for a briefcase".

thanks for the info guys....guess we chalk it up to spoils of war as it were...

at least it wasnt something somehow done by the kevin bacon of the joe universe known as snake eyes...

None of that is canon. It was done by their grandma while babysitting them so she could tell them apart. They knew ruthlessness at a young age...
