Cool, I'll read it, along with the one from the dude who had to cut off his hand.
Thanks for the suggestion! |

Thought I'd revisit this thread to say unequivocally, "Don't bother." I managed to procure one recently, and he really is an uninspired figure. I traded mine for a bunch of random fodder. |

Always liked Alpine and thought he was underused. But that's probably because he was too specialised. How many mountain fights can you have where you can also show off/advertise a vehicle? I think there were also some missed opportunities for his accounting skills to be used in intelligence gathering.
I've always seen Alpine as being a bit like the Clint Eastwood character in the old flick, "The Eiger Sanction." |

Darn, I'll just have to wait until someone (Hasbro or the Club) releases a new figure. It's hard to believe a guy who had so many memorable moments in Sunbow recieves so little attention....

I really dig Alpine and Krakauer books. Into Thin Air is a phenomenal story. If you liked it you'll love Ralston's Between a Rock and a Hard Place. He was an avid climber of fourteeners and has some good tales.
