Road Block on TV

I'm sitting here watching the show Fringe on Fox. There is a scene where one of the characters (Peter) hands a kid a 25th Road Block figure stating "This is Road Block not one of your top tier GI Joe characters" Then he goes on to say something about a scar on the figures cheek, possibly reliving a childhood experience. Either way it was kinda cool to see a Joe figure on (IMHO) a very cool show.

How can he say Roadblock isn't top tier? Roadblock is easily one of the most popular Joe characters.

Hey I know that, the writers of the show apparently don't know it.

I think he meant 'top-tier' in terms of rank. Let's face it, The 'Block is iconic, but it's not like he's a General, or anything, right?

It's the guys that wrote Transformers......they really don't know anything about "iconic" characters anyhow.

Could've of meant that too, but the main character mentioned a scar on the cheek. Which Roadblock doesn't have, but the orginal 12 inch line did (actually all the 12 inch figures from before the 3 3/4 shink had a scar on the cheek.) So maybe when he said "Top-Tier" he was refering to the orginal 12 inch line before the 80's line.

At least they didn't call him Heavy Duty, so they know something Paramount doesn't
