Also, I have done my part. My two cases of wave 4 are already ordered and paid for from Dorkside. So I will have spare SE, SS, and RBs. If I don't use them for customs, I will donate them to Toys for Tots. Quote:
The system would be effiecient if the managers actually gave stockers time to work the freight into the correct locations and maade sure they did put thing in the right places, but sometimes at my store they would just auto bin any items they didn't want to stock that night and pull people on 3rd to stock grocery and were told to not bring anything back.
Yeah but these cool kats think that upper vp and these super marketing managers they talk about actually know things like that exist at the store level, but they don't. They think their product is distributed competently and spread out between all the stores in the land, and no shelf goes unstocked or peg unfilled, they have no clue of retail reality at store level. The trends and such that they watch from their ivory tower and get fed to them from their respective retail outlets are skewed and not reserched well. This always happens when people don't actually communicate or have any idea of what's going on with the level of people they are dictating protocol to. OB

Since I started this thread I have read from some who would apologize for Hasbro or attempt to enlighten us on "how it works" but most of you get it and you feel like I do. And maybe I got the marketing term incorrect; I was not an economics major. But the point I was making is that Hasbro is doing something wrong when the GI JOE line has less and less enthusiasm even with a "successful sequel" by the retailers. Take my TRU for example. GI JOE has migrated from the beginning of the toy isle in 2007 to the end of the isle by the beginning of the year. Now the Joes are at the back end cap. And the worst part is the figures are on the top pegs. I'm 5'9" and I have to get on my tip toes just to pull the bottom part of the figures off the pegs. How do you expect to move the product if kids don't see it at eye level. They don't even know its there. Not to mention that the non red white and blue GI JOE logo in unappealing and boring to kids. One solution would be to have more aggressive Hasbro reps going into stores and make sure their products are visible and moving; and reporting back to Hasbro. But sadly it think Hasbro has probably laid off most of their reps. I did an experiment one time with two skystrikers. They were sitting at the end of the isle on the bottom shelf for maybe 3 weeks so I picked them up and placed them on the front end cap where they have the soldier force stuff right at eye level. The next day I came to check on them and they were gone and yes from the computer as well. Hasbro is putting out great stuff and its getting better and better in my opinion, but its not getting into our hands very easily.
