What was your first GI Joe? I don't even remember having this, but I found this picture in a shoe box at my mom's house last summer, and this could have been my second Christmas ever (I was born late April, so I don't think this was me at 8 months old...but 20 is more likely). She told me that it was my favorite toy until it went to toy heaven.

Looks about like a picture id find. You might be a touch older than me. nothing bad about that im just saying, comparing. My first joes we the orginal 82 line. I remember buying them at big k, and woolworths. Grunt and snake eyes. I do remember not liking them at first because the thumbs broke first thing. but I didnt give up. Cool picture. Memories are great!

I remember my first joe was a 1986 v2 Hawk. It was from a birthday gift from a friend of mine, and led to me picking up a bat within the week from the local drug store for him to fight against.

Great pic!
Mine was Breaker 1982, then Short Fuse, then Rock N Roll, Snake Eyes and Stalker in one day. I remember think what a good purchase it was getting those three at once. Felt my team was pretty bad A$$ at that point.

My first Joe was 1982 Flash. He fought Storm Troopers until I got the Cobra trooper and Cobra Officer.

Not counting the AF versions of US figures, mine was the mail-away Action Force Infantryman aka Grunt. I'd actually sent off for the AF Commander, but was too late and got him instead.

1983 Doc...although this was more like 1984-1985. I found in him in a gravel parking lot. Just the figure...guess someone had dropped him.
