I hate paying $150 a month for cable, i've thought about Netflix, but a friend has it and it sucked...the movie kept timing out, so it turned me off. If you can't get the NFL games via Netflix (which I'm sure you can't) then it's not for me. I love watching football more then buyng toys, don't tell the thousands of toys in my basement that!

Have not watched cable in years. I just buy DVDs, Sure you could stream and all that good stuff. I just prefer the hardcopy.

Hell, I haven't had cable or a land line in over ten years. I have rabbit ear antenna on my 1080p HDTV and I'm doing just fine with it. I don't even watch TV as it is. Nothing but garbage reality shows and don't even get me started on the news. Nothing pisses me off when I finally get into a show and it gets canceled. All I need is my PS3 with Netflix and my library of BD/DVD collection.
Would I give up cable for more Joes? Nope because I never had it and I budget my toy buying.

I pay a buttload for cable, but we have our internet and landline bundled with it. Yes, a landline. Ironically, it was cheaper to include it than not. I love comcast, though. I have the xfinity app, so I can watch movies when I'm at work. I on't think we could get rid of cable at this point in our lives because the kids love Disney. And I'm pretty good with the Joes I have overall, so I'm stuck with cable for now.

Cut the cord. All you need is the net and netflix. I don't know where I even came up with that $80 extra per month for cable.
It seems most people that contemplate dropping cable should do it. Make sure the decision is put to a vote if there are others in your household, though.

if you like both, make it work, and just buy the joes you want and the cable package that is best for you.
no need to be greedy and get it all.

Nope. I have TV, internet, and phone bundled. If I dropped the cable, I wouldn't be saving that much which wouldn't turn in to many Joes. While I don't watch it a lot, the rest of the family does. But I still have Netflix as well which is also very good.

The bundles seem like a good idea at first, but they're almost like handcuffs. It's like being forced to buy a bunch of figures you don't want just to get a Night Viper. lol
