I think Resolute is here to stay regardless of what happens with the movie. I am sure Hasbro realizes what a success they have with the Modern Era and Resolute lines. Now they just have to wait to see what happens with the movie line. If all 3 are a big success, i predict Hasbro will contemplate keeping all 3 lines alive. If the movie figs don't sell as well as they had hoped, i predict they will stay with what has been working for them...

Kinda hard to say how successful Resolute is when the cartoon hasn't even aired, and they only shipped one wave of figures, comic-packs, and one 5-pack, none of which seem to have gone into heavy distribution.

Can't count the comic packs. With the figures in the packs (Shockwave and Tunnel Rat), those would have been big sellers no matter what packaging they came under.

I agree, but given the increasing hype that the Resolute line has already generated, i am confident that it will continue to be highly sought after with future releases...

I wonder if the delay has to do with the hype for the movie. It makes me wonder if Hasbro is staling on Resolute so they can keep all the hype on the Summer Movie.

I think we yelled loud enough for them to bring out wave 5. I tend to think that everything is on the back burner until the movie is done. Hence the 7 packs. "let's just throw all the singles we we're going to do, put them in these seven packs and get them out the door" Res may, or may not, show up to the party.

the classic line (25th/modern era) will never actually die it will ebb and flow with anniversaries and between movies. However hasbro will never allow the classics line to outshine or overshadow the RoC/PoC. Resolute is the niche remix of everything we as kids want as adults, as if our childhood heroes and villians traded their pew pew lasers for rat tat tat tat bullets. where we are now able to handle the concept of "death" for our beloved characters.
make no mistake with RoC having at least one sequal the movie line is here front and center with all the spot light. however things to look forward too are the next anniversary dates for "heritage" (the way i refer to everything 25th/modern since vintage and classic refer to the original 3.75 lines) figures to be redone my vote for joe side is airtight and lowlight and for cobra i want a techno viper...motor viper...desert scorpion... |
