That, and I have to agree, the whole blue camo thing was awesome. And we now have a definitive difference between Roadblock and Heavy Duty: Heavy Duty is British!

Not only that, but it also brought massive media attention to the franchise. Everywhere you looked, there was Joe, whereas previously you had to know beforehand where and what you were looking for.

Yeah, the blue camo was pretty cool. Like previously mentioned, i was just happy the unit had some cohesion in appearance, instead of the random uniforms and whatnot.

Eh, to each their own i guess. I prefer all of my joes rock the Reactive Impact Armor, and then just embellish the outfits slightly per character. So everyone is rocking the same uni, but some have modded it abit. |

GI Joe has always had a mixed uniform system. We know that..BUT.. How much sense has that ever made? What military unit would actually do that? I get the fact that a variety of looks is good for marketing, but there is no way that this big of a profusion of uniforms in one unit can be viewed as plausible. I think the new look makes sense from that point of view.

That's how it works in the Navy, Everyone is in the NWU's now... (Navy Working Uniform/blue Cammies) but they look completely different on each Sailor. It's crazy how that works out.
The kids and I had a gigantic battle in the living room this weekend. And they were like, why are we using 50 Cobra's to go up agains 30 Joes... And I said, so the Joes will have more fun, Cobra's are like Pringles. You can't stop after popping only one! |

You don't get to an outfit like GI Joe because you are a complete conformist. The Stand Out crowd is going to be Type A all the way. You have to give them some room to breathe considering how much is really riding upon the shoulders of our heroes.
They constantly have the fate of the Free World in their hands. They have no life anymore... no family, no friends... they even gave up their name. The single most important thing that makes all of us individual and not just a Social Security Number. You have to give them something back or they'll crack. Ask Psyche Out if you don't believe me. |
