The ARAH version is still the best CG IMO. Non of the ME versions come close! The CG is one of my top 3 favorite cobra troopers! I loved them as a kid, because they were the elite gaurd. They were the last line of defense and also the covert operatives that lived among the population to gather intel.
The 25th CG are way too skinny, so I'm excited about the new ones, since they look a little bigger. I may just have to make custom ones to be satisfied though. I do own over 20 of the 25th versions! |

I don't care for the new CC at all and the CC are my favorite of the Cobra troop legions. Personally I think the new versions look like pre teens wearing their dad's CC uniform for Halloween. I do like the accessories that they come with and appreciate the rank decals, that was a really nice touch. I'll be sticking with my 25th CCs for now but will keep one of the new ones in my collection for posterity and will loot a second for gear, possibly re arming whichever exclusive repaint CC I chose to be my highest rank below the twins.

the 25th cg is the reason i decided to collect the me style in the first place up until he came out i was dead set against them they all looked kinda goofy but the articulation was so good compared to the orings fastforward a few years i now have 26 of them. the new cg im gonna get as many as i can but being in blighty i doubt il find one for less than 9gbp about 15usd. i do have 4 coming from smalljoes just gonna have to wait n see what they are like in hand stood next to the 25th. i say buy em anyway n if you dont like em sell em its not like joes are hard to get rid of these days.

I don't have any currently but I am thinking of building a squad of four to serve as Cobra Commander's personal bodyguard squad. I don't collect Serpentor so no issues there. I will likely customize them a bit though. Something isn't quite right about them but I have to wait until I have them in hand to figure out what I'll do with them.

The 1985 original is one of the best Joe figures ever. I think the modern updates fall short, but it is still a rad design.
