I have been talking about this in other threads but I wanted to ask you guys and gals if anyone has noticed how much walmart's prices have risen just in the last three weeks? I noticed all the Connecticut stores are doing resets and their new prices are anywhere from 20-40% higher than before. My wife and I were looking at a TV that was 427.00, so we went back the following week and it was 457.00. WTF? I also bough a couple of 10 lbs weight plates, they were 7.77 last week and this week I went in for a few more and they are now 8.97. Transformers were 7.77 and now 12.88! WTF??? I know prices are going up everywhere on everything but come on!
I am not going to pay 19.97 for Walmart jeans that fall apart after a month when I can go to J C Penny's and get Levi's on sale for the same amount! I guess " roll back the price" has been replaced with " roll ahead the price!" LOL!!! |

Reminds me of that song,
"You've got to shop around" With the TV you can probably get it someplace else, with the Joe's some of them are hard enough to find 1 of. Puts you on the fence, pay or possibly pass on it as a retail find. |

didn't you know the sky is falling? heurbert (?) said it best, fear is the mind killer, and a lot of folks are falling into traps and taking advantage of the situation. In my book it is as simple as that. sure we could list a million reasons why and why not, but it all boils down to fear in my book. so get out there and make shit happen for ya and to hell with the world. it will come to it's senses eventualy, but do not get idle or suckered. look at it this way, at least the movie stuff will save ya some cash. Ha ha hah and for your wieghts try this "dragon hand" trick. take two of those giant pickle jars and fill them with water. close'em and hold them by the tops on each side of ya for 20 mins. in time you should be able to rip apart a phone book or those damn plastic sealed packages they put things like phones in. COBRA!

I've noticed this with the new X-Men: Origins and MU toylines and just noticed today that the DC Infinite Heroes lines is also affected by Wally's high rise prices:
DCIH Target: $4.99 DCIH Wal-Mart: $6.97 |
