Sorry for the dumb f@ck comment. The show really made you look like an amature. I was hoping no human would ever pay that price for an ungraded Tomahawk. You are right, it's nice money if you can find someone who wants to pay it but A little research does go a long way. For $1500.00 you could get 6 to 10 of them loose complete.

I watched both episodes last night and while I A) Think the dude is a complete fucking douche and B) Can't believe the decisions they make for he show's premise as in making the Tomahawk the "It" toy, I do enjoy watching the show cause we get to see all our cool shit on TV.

I told my old lady: "That guy is an idiot for paying $1500 for that. I'd never do that shit."

Now that we have confirmation that the deals are fake it makes more sense.

It one of those things where you get asked to be on a show you like and you say yes, if people think you look like and amateur or f'n idiot oh well. We all are mostly adults and not in high school, who cares what people think as long as you are having fun and not hurting anyone. I think at this point everyone is aware the show is staged and that in it self should keep some of these people from name calling a guy who "bought" a $1500 Tomahawk. I bet if you see Jordan from Toy Hunter he still has that Tomahawk.

Actually, it MIGHT affect me. Let's say folks see this show and it causes the prices to inflate online as a result. Now, I certainly can just not buy at that price - and that is the responsible thing to do - but it would be a pain to not be able to purchase Joes for months while the price remains too high on the secondary market. If you doubt this, see what the Today show did to Star Wars prices for a few months.

While it is their right to pay that price, it hurts the collecting community in the short run. For a show that is about the love of toys, Jordan really knows how to hurt those he supposedly is there to help! Sadly, the show is primarily about making him look clever, not really about the toys, their value, or places folks could go to pick up figures all over the nation.

I sell toys as a hobby, it allows me to buy more toys. That being said... As much as I would love to tipple my sales, inflating the hobby prices like Jordan does, helps no one.

Just FYI my FIOS TV guide listed the episode "GI Jackpot" last night as being about Jordan hunting for a GI Joe Defiant, not a Tomahawk.
