I wish! Half the time buyers wait for a whole week to pay for there items. I closed more unpaid item cases then I've listed items.

What is FAR more irritating is when they either mark it as "shipped" or goes as far as to print out a label with tracking info on it so it shows on ebay as shipped but then don't go ahead and mail it. As long as I eventually get it, I don't care but it is mildly nerve racking because it can make you start wondering if they are trying to scam you.
The one thing you have to always keep track of is the 45 day clock that Paypal is keeping on your funds. Once that time expires, you can't get a refund - even if you purchase from overseas. This is the only reason to be a little anxious when people don't ship right away, but just check their ratings and you can tell pretty quickly if it is a problem or not. I think 45 days is too long for domestic buyers and sellers, because it gives you the seller that long awaiting potential problem if a buyer decides to abuse that system. Which I had happen once and it still pisses me off to this day. |

what I dont like is the fact that Sellers can hold out on good feedback UNTIL you give them good, regardless of how poor their service is.
Sellers should be required to give feedback within 24hrs of payment being made, not being able to wait until I get my item and give them feedback. |

Well, I started using eBay in 1999 while sitting on shift in Bosnia and rebuilt my SW Collection. I left feedback as a buyer once my family told me a package had arrived at their house (where I all my stuff was being delivered).

I always try to ship in the timeframe I specify on eBay. Due to the fact that I'm active duty military, I sometimes miss the mark due to mission requirements, but I do my best to make sure things get to the buyer quickly. I appreciate fast payments, but I think some buyers expect their items to arrive the next day. I want my Joes quick too....but I understand circumstances arise in peoples lives and sometimes I must wait.

i just read some interesting things in this thread from the "sellers" side of the argument. This is what they said:
1. Auction ended and I was called out of town. Solution: Take the item (should already be packaged) with you and mail it. You already are over charging us for shipping. 2. I printed the label and marked "Shipped", but forgot to go to the Post Office. Solution: take shipping charge "OFF" and dont let it happen again. 3. "What is the big deal? Did you order a Kidney?" Solution: If that is your attitude then dont hound me for money. You'll get it when I send it. 4. Things happened and I couldn't get to the Post Office that day or the next day. Solution: Don't sell on EBay if you can't be responsible. |
