I'm surprised nobody got the MOBAT and Mauler right yet ;-)
The MOBAT would appear to take design cues from the MBT-70, a joint German/American tank program that failed to go into production, but ultimately led to the M1 Abrams and Leopard 2 main battle tanks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MBT-70 The Mauler is very obscure and takes design cues from the RDF light tank: https://www.militaryfactory.com/armo...p?armor_id=655 The RDF was a private prototype, never produced. I'm a tank nerd ;-) |

Main gun on the Mauler is much closer to the RDF experimental gun. I agree that the profiles, especially turret lines, are quite similar to the XM1.

This thread is always useful for when my son is screwing around with a vehicle (in this case, one of the Sluggers) and I have to try to remember if it's based on something real or not.
(... just realised that I somehow lost the stabiliizer / shovel / backhoe / whatever from this particular Slugger. Dammit.) |

Hey everybody, I'm new to the forums. I went in on the Haslab Skystriker. My favorite toy and Jet fighter the F-14. Looking at the mockups though I noticed there is a cannon port on both sides of the nose. Does this bother anyone else? Is it just me? I know its a toy, but I imagine this was an oversight by an artist with no technical knowledge of how fighters are really designed or maybe they flipped the original artwork which would have had the gun on the correct side? Anyway, I love the toy, but I was just wondering how much realism everyone expects to see.

I'm not going to dig through 20 pages but anyone ever noticed the MAGGOT compared to the Swedish STRV XX-20?
