The 1983 model by Multi Toys Corp (?) was pretty cool. Well scaled for Joes, but as Lifeline 71 says, the interior of the cockpit was really bare-bones. Here are some photos I found online for anyone interested.

An interesting bit that I realized when I first made the connection between the Rattler and the A-10 is that the A-10 is an anti-tank / ground-assault aircraft.
(It's rational when you look at it: the straight wings, etc. Though as a kid I still had it duel with the Skystriker~! (Rattler isn't even super-sonic...) |

All of Cobra's aircraft are supposed to be ground attack if you read the blueprints, except for the Night Raven. The Raven's a fighter, the Firebat, Rattler, Condor and Hurricane are all attack aircraft with bombs or missiles. Even the Liquidator, which is supposed to be an ATF like the F-22, is listed as carrying air-to-surface missiles...

Well they also had the Stellar Stiletto, which I think was supposed to attack space targets like the shuttle, but I'd imagine it could still attack F-14's from orbit. It was small, extremely fast, and had a laser weapon in the nose.

The Liquidator was based on the Mirage Iii/Mirage 2000 right?

Hadn't seen this before; apologies if it's old news.
Was doing some research for a custom 4-door VAMP and found this 1/18 scale model of the Lamborghini Cheetah, a primary inspiration for the VAMP. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174145293152 Way too rich for my blood, but I'd love to see how well it plays with Joe figures. Anybody have one of these? |

More like working the formula backwards, a contemporary vehicle getting shoehorned into the GI Joe universe.
![]() Just too lazy to start a new thread and Cobra did have a float plane in the comics.
