Yea hun don't feel like you have done anything wrong, you picked up what you wanted, that's great. I don't want to say this to loud but I have picked a store clean a time or two. That is what collecting is all about. Finding what you have been looking for and making the plunge to pick it up.
More power to you.

My problem is if they have the cool figures, chances are my kids are with me and the boys will want the same ones. We picked TRU clean of Cobra Divers and Target clean of Paratroopers that way. I was truying to leave one for other collectors but it didn't happen.

Its simple really... if you are in the store when they are in the store... you get what you can pay for. If someone else was in the store 10 minutes earlier, they get it first. Never feel bad for being a consumer.

If you buy for enjoyment then its ok. However 20 of the same fig. is a little overboard. I work at TRU and I see the ebay scalpers come in and rape us of our stock, then magically and mysteriously ebay becomes enlarged and what to my wondering eyes should appear but all the stuff that someone bought from us. We collectors have the right to enjoy capitalism however, what about the kids who would enjoy some of them "hard to find" or more popular figures??? I didn't read all of the posts on here however you have the right to buy what you want, but we tankers and collectors should encourage sharing of our hobby with kids... I only buy 2 of any cool figure that I run across and that is on a really good day. As for ebay, I do buy my troopbuilders and customizing platforms from other collectors and sadly some scalpers. CURSE YOU EBAY SCALPERS FROM ALLOWING US COMMON FOLK WHO CAN'T SPEND EVERY WAKING MOMENT AT TRU, AND WALMART AND TARGET FROM GETTING THOSE ONE IN A MILLION FIGURES. YOU ARE JUST AS BAD AS OBAMA'S DREAM TEAM!

The only time it's an issue is if a person buys a crapload of stuff with the only idea of Ebaying it. That's when I hate the person doing it. If it's someone getting what the store decided to stock for their enjoyment, that's a whole different thing.
Usually you can tell the difference. With G.I.Joe, most of it has been a case or 2 on the shelf and that's it. 1 person can easily clear that out. When there's been 8 or more cases put out (very rare to see this), and you see only the popular figures of that wave gone, that usually equals scalper. |

I have dreams of buying out the shelves. Actually I have been stalking the shelves regularly since 1984 when I was 9. The thrill of showing up with all kinds of new figures always gets me off!
Tell you what, when I was a kid, I never knew what new figures were coming out so everything was a surprise. I wish it was a little more like that now but with the internet, trade magazines, and hasblo plugging their wares, that is impossible. It would be so cool to show up and all these figures that were not advertised were on the shelves! Just like the good ol days!

I would hate you if you were in my area and you bought the recent stuff from the last waves of 08/new wave of 09, Im still having trouble finding the Moccassin, the trooper w/ black mask, Resolute Duke/CC/trooper even tho they were available late last yr. The new 5 packs were put out couple days ago at one of my Targets. Still waiting for the last MASS pack.
