Met Ray Park in Jersey in 07. Great guy, signed one of my Darth Maul figures. Next to him was young Aunt Beru, she was smoking HOT!

I got to meet Mark Hamill. We talked about the Guyver, the Joker, and I thanked him for all the hours of entertainment.
But no Ray Park. I wanted to though. |

Wow...Mark Hamill usually comes across as a really down-to-earth kinda guy in his interviews and such. I didn't know that he really did autographs at all, much less for 100 bucks. I've heard nothing but good things about Ray Park, though. I had the pleasure to meet and speak briefly with Warwick Davis at Star Wars Celebration III, and he was a super-nice guy as well.
But yeah, going face first through a windshield didn't help him age gracefully. They patched him up well enough that he looked decent for Empire Strikes Back, but even by Return of the Jedi he was starting to look pretty rough around the edges. It's sometimes kinda hilarious to see some of the Luke Skywalker artwork that's supposed to be like a 50-60 year old Luke but he looks 1000 times better than Mark Hamill currently does. I think Hamill's actually jokingly commented on "Old Luke" being a stud well into his 50's while "Mark Hamill" didn't age nearly so gracefully. Last edited by Jmacq1; 03-02-2009 at 01:07 AM.. |

So finally, I get up to where the talent is. Arleen Sorkin and Kevin Conroy are there having a blast talking to fans and Hamill is on the far end, looking sour, not making eye contact with anyone, just signing stuff. I chatted with Kevin for a couple minutes then he asked "do you have something for me to sign?" I said that I kinda wish I did but it was for Mark. He said "here let me pass that to him" as there were people still lingering in front of Mark and I couldn't get near. Mark took it, signed it and passed it across the table but before I could reach it he put another book on top of it so I couldn't get it, and then another. I must have been staring with my mouth hanging open or something because Kevin noticed my suprise, looked at me and said, "Hang on" and retrieved my card. I thanked him and left. I was so fed up that I decided to give the signed card to my brother when he got back... but I never saw him again. He was killed while trying to come home. Now I have this stupid card somewhere in my apartment (I've since lost it as I didn't care to be reminded of what it took to get it.). I know this isn't ALL Hamill's fault, but it seemed like he felt had better things to do when he was only there for about 2 hours and the others were going to be there the whole rest of the day. Oh and if you're wondering where it was posted that they weren't signing anything but related stuff, it was on a sign behind the line of security guards at about ankle height.

And another time, I was minding my own business trying to get from one end of the convention center to the other, and this guy shoves me and tells me to get back. I then notice about 6 or so guys surrounding some short guy that I recognized as Hamill.
