Hello everyone. This is not offical yet but I'm being faced with a serious question. Will not go into details but to make the story short, I may have to obtain an attorney that specialize in family law in Dallas Texas to file for custody or at least a forced visitation. I have not seen my 2 sons for little over a year and its driving me crazy. Mom lost custody but her sister got custody and she won't let me see my sons for no reason. I'm thinking of selling my ENTIRE collections which are mocs and misb. Vintage and modern. Some big loose but complete. Here are some example..Crimson Guard Twins MOC, Duke with triple offer MOC, Alpine with triple offer MOC, Eel with triple offer MOC and so on. I have a USS Flagg, Terror Drome, Defiant. I have every figures from wave 1 to current MOC. Almost all comic pack MOC, some vechiles MISB. Not only those but I do have more than given example. Also have MOTU 200x MOCS/ MISB, the NEW MOTU MOC, Star Wars vintage to Clone Wars MOC, Robotech figures MOC, and few more mocs/misb/loose but complete. Where do you think would be best to sell em? I'm trying to make as much as I can so I can have enough to afford the attorney's retainers fee. Any opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear about that. I'd go with eBay.

Thanks man..I have brought from ebay in the past but never sold anything off ebay. How does this work? If I go to ebay, so I sell em in lots or one by one or what? I have brought some stuff from hiss and everyone has been kind so I'll do the same to return the favor before going to ebay and sell if I decided to sell. I love my collections but my children comes 1st and I know I will start recollecting later on. I saw once on ebay that someone sold a wave 1 to 9 I think all afa graded and it fetched good money. Should I get my figures graded before hand or what?

E-Bay is the way to go , the grading I think would take too long if your looking to get your money up for the lawyer.

Dude, do whatever it takes to get to see your kids. WHATEVER. I have 3 kids myself and NOTHING would prevent me from being in their lives.
I sell stuff on ebay and it's not perfect, but I do okay. I would sell items like the Flagg, Terror Drome and Defiant on their own. Sell MOC vintage stuff on their own. Sell other things in small lots. One large lot would seriously limit the number of buyers, not everyone can drop 1000s or even 100s. Before you ebay them make a complete list and offer up on here. A $40 dollar sale to a fellow tanker puts $40 dollars in your pocket, not 10-15% in ebays. I bet you would sell 1/2 the stuff to folks on here. |

Be prepared though my friend. If you are going to sell something on e-bay using Paypal and it is a large amount I don't know the specifics but basically anything over $100.
Paypal may hold your money from you for up to three months. Especially since you are new to selling. It might be better if you asked for a money order instead.

Ebay would likely get the highest returns. If you have never sold on Ebay I would recommend finding a friend who has to help with some pointers. Selling by Lots of figures by wave should get the best response. A couple of quick tips: Know your shipping cost before posting an item and dont try to make your money by inflating your ship costs. And: I have got better results by starting my items with minimum bids ($.99). If the item is good and going to sell then the price you start it at wont matter. Good luck. Hope you get to see your sons soon.

Make a complete list with desired prices and post here. I am looking to pick up some collections and have the cash reserves.

Thanks for all the advice. I have paypal and its verified. I heard stories about people claiming not to get the items and all that so I would be using tracking and or singature. I gotcha about sell em in small lot. I gotcha about everything so I will take everyone advice seriously. I probably will offer the modern era to hiss and the vintage to ebay. Thanks to you all for very helpful advice as its a big help. Yo joe!
