Your referring to hector ramirez, the gi joe reporter that bare's a strange similarity to Geraldo Rivera, Shipwreck is Hector Delgado, although i don't think the ethnicity of the character was taken into account when they cast the voice, or designed his cartoon persona.

Of course, if that rumor turns out to be true that is. I personally would love some GIJOE/TF crossover toys. Especially a Prime/Rolling Thunder like Don Figueroa designed a while back. |

Cobra Commander was in an episode of Transformers as well... "Only Human" is the episode I believe. He was selling Destro's synthoid machines.

i wish this idea would die and die hard, it seems like it gets brought up every three weeks. it is a completely stupid idea and makes no sense whatsoever. collect your robots and leave gijoe alone, please.

The Baroness/Ravage statue coming out (or is it out) is HOT. I don't collect statues and busts and such, but it's really tempting to me. If they made a toyline that featured Transformers and GI Joes similairly it would awesome. As crazy as some of the GIJoe and Transformers story arcs have been in the past I don't think it would out of the realm of possibility to create a new continuity where the two can coincide. DDP and DW have made it profoundly clear that the two can mesh well together (although DDP also proved that they can mesh poorly at times too). Dreamwaves Transformers:GI Joe series is probably my favorite DW comic. The way that EVERYBODY in that comic was portrayed just blew my mind away. It just bothered me that it was so short.
From a marketting stand-point it seems like a genius idea and I'm suprised they've never jumped on the idea. It would help bolster GIJoe sells since Transformers is their main attraction at this point. I think that's why they decided to do SWTF. Transformers and Star Wars are their biggest toy lines for males and they assumed that combinging the toylines while also running seperate toylines for each property would just about double up on the revenue. I think that if GIJoe can keep up the pace with Transformers that Hasbro would jump at the chance to cross them over. Maybe when the movie rolls around if it doesn't blow... |
