Yellow stalker probably.. black timber not worth a lot - but it is definitly hard to find.. Gold Destro holds his value and no one thinks rowdy piper is really 25th.. but he is expensive as hell too.. Anchor Hat Gung-ho is a sleeper hit and is going to be worth $$ |

i have all the variants you listed except se w/blk timber. i got them all at the regular price they originally sold at. there's no way i would spend the $ to get se when i could put that $ into completing the arah collection. one figure isn't worth that to me, unless it's vintage.

personally, if i can't find variants for retail (which is rare), i could care less. If we'd all stop paying $100+ for a different paint job, we'd see the manufacturers start putting figs out in equal distribution. just my two cents.

You can usually find a buckle variant Cobra Commander easy and flip it to make some quick loot. You can find one for less than $10 shipped most of the time. I have bought many and sold them for about $50 with the highest being $85. It is not the best "variant" but if you want quick loot it is the way to go. Long term toy investment would be whatever you can get cheap that may have the same or higher value later. Most 25th are dropping though besides Yellow Stalker, Gold PDD and Rowdy Roddy Piper. They stay above $200 for the most part.

IMO, none of the 25th line will be worth a flip as a long-term investment. The only way to make money on them would be to get a deal and flip them while they're hot.
Joe collectors haven't seemed to learn a lesson from the Star Wars line. Ten years ago, a "bloody stump" Saga Bespin Luke Skywalker sold for over $100. Now you can't sell one for $10. The high prices were driven my momentary frantic demand and insane amounts of speculation, not by actual value. Once the impatient people get theirs, the price will drop to a more reasonable level. In five years, I predict you will be able to get any figure you listed for $20 max. This is why I haven't ever paid more than retail for a single 25th Joe figure and don't plan to......

If you want it buy it toys are not really an investment by the time they are worth real big money we will all be gray but i would
say get the wraith variant before it really shoots up in value that one seems to be real popular i don't have the anchor gung ho variant or cobra commander buckle variant |

I would say Yellow Stalker, but I would also say don't think of collecting as an investment.
Case in point: The secondary market value for a lot of the old 1990's Power of the Force 2 action figures is now LESS THAN ORIGINAL RETAIL PRICE. That, and we all may be in the soup kitchen in five years anyway getting a cup of hot water with a moldy turnip in it. |

the MOC Gung Ho variant is 25th logo w/ molded anchor, unpainted.
these were leftovers from the original 5 pack, but with the gold anchor left unpainted. an obvious variant. not as sexy as Stalker, but nevertheless a rarity. you may see some loose, but not very many MOC. i have ONE. if you can get your hands on one, jump on it. you can find one for a fraction of what Stalker is going for. on topic with yellow Stalker, i'm giving up the push. i'm going to let that punk fall on my laps. i refuse to buy into the hype and trade the farm for him. or even pay going rate for him. the only card I ever paid a nice chunk of change for was Gold PDD. i just couldn't help myself. |
